Course Description/rationale:
This
course provides an introduction to the teaching of elementary school children.
Students will be introduced to various physical activities and will
participate in those activities. Students
will also be provided the opportunity to learn about fitness and wellness
through online materials as well as classroom and activity labs.
Attendance Policy:
Attendance is critical and strict observance of the institutional
guidelines will be observed. During
the semester, a student may miss (excused or unexcused) no more than twice the
number of classes that would be scheduled in a week.
Any absence in excess of that number may result in the student being
dropped from the course with the grade of “F”.
The decision shall be at the discretion of the instructor.
Only serious illness or family emergency will be accepted for excused
absences.
Academic Dishonesty Policy:
Cheating of any kind will not be tolerated!
Plagiarism, turning in assignments prepared by others, unauthorized
possession of exams etc. may result in being dropped from the class with a grade
of “F” for the course. College
guidelines concerning this will be strictly followed.
